A new chapter for OEM-Demesne — and a familiar face leading it

Jim Murray joins as Chief Sales & Supplier Officer, bringing 26 years of industry leadership back to the business at a defining moment.

We're delighted to announce that Jim Murray has joined OEM-Demesne as Chief Sales & Supplier Officer. For many of our customers and supplier partners across Ireland, Jim won't need much of an introduction.

Jim spent 18 years at Demesne Electrical before moving on to Rittal & Eplan Ireland, where he spent the last 8 years progressing from Area Sales Manager to Sales Director, and ultimately Country Manager. In that time he built deep expertise across power distribution, cooling, IT infrastructure and industrial automation, working with customers right across Ireland and Central Europe.

Now, he's back — and the timing couldn't be more fitting.

As Demesne Electrical transitions into OEM under the wider OEM International group, Jim steps in at a defining moment for the business. In his new role, he'll lead all sales and supplier activities across the group, ensuring our strategy translates into results for customers, suppliers, and the team.

Coming back feels a bit like a homecoming, but the business I'm joining is genuinely a different one — in the best way. The move to OEM Automatic opens up a much bigger toolkit for our customers in Ireland: broader product capability, deeper supplier partnerships, and the backing of one of Europe's strongest industrial groups. That's a story I'm excited to help write.

Jim's appointment strengthens an already strong management team, and brings a sales leader who understands both sides of the counter — the Demesne customer relationships built over nearly two decades, and the end user rigour developed at Rittal & Eplan.

It's a combination that matters as the business enters its next chapter. Customers will see continuity in the people and service they've always trusted, alongside a broader capability that comes with being part of the OEM International group. Suppliers gain a partner who has sat in their shoes and knows what good looks like.

Asked what his priorities will be in the months ahead, Jim's answer is characteristically direct:

My focus is straightforward: continue to drive the business forward. That means listening to customers, supporting our suppliers/partners in achieving full potential in market growth, and giving our sales team everything they need to meet the demands of the market. The trust this business has built over the years doesn't change but the scale of what we can now offer absolutely does.
