The light curtains monitor a defined area using multiple invisible infrared light beams. The curtain photoelectric sensors consist of a transmitter and a receiver housed in a slim anodized aluminum profile, along with an external control unit. They operate on the principle of evaluating each individual beam, with detection handled by the external control unit. This allows for complex measurement tasks, and the control unit activates the corresponding outputs as well as digital data transmission.
