The Powerscan 8000 series is part of Datalogic's premium segment of handheld barcode readers suitable for industrial applications. The wired Powerscan PD8500 is able to handle omnidirectional reading of 1D and 2D codes and decoding of several codes in one read.
PD8500 is equipped with Datalogic's 3GL™(3 Green Lights) for superior feedback. The patented green point directly on the code and the double LEDs on top of and at the back of the reader give clear verification during decoding. Aiming at the code is easy with the double trigger system, which in its first mode gives an aim of 5 points, one in each of the four corners and one in the middle of the field. This reader has an ergonomic design and is light and well balanced so as to ensure comfort even during intensive operations.
PD8500 has a multi-interface with RS232, USB and Keyboard Wedge. The reader can also be combined with Datalogic's switchbox CBX800, allowing it to be connected to most bus systems on the market, including Profibus, Devicenet, Ethernet IP and CANopen.
